Thanksgiving Day

What a morning! It all started with Taylor and I paper folding at 11:00 p.m. The boys were done delivering by just after one a.m. Yippee, no alarm had to be set! Someone should have told Sophie that we were sleeping in. Once up, Shane and Nathan went to play basketball at the church and the rest of us set to work with salads, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes, curlers in hair, and chocolate and banana pies.

On the way to Nate and Malinda’s we stopped to get air in our front tire. While we were there, we ran over a bolt and spent the next half hour at Walmart getting a new tire. Finally, we got here and the playing began!!! Football, basketball, running outside, playstation games, ping-pong, and on and on.

Yummo for dinner! Mom’s frog eye salad and a new addition of green bean casserole, Lesle’s homemade rolls and pumpkin cookies for those who don’t like pie (whatever)! Jody’s stuffing, corn, and pumpkin pie. Nate and Malinda’s turkey, twice-riced potatoes and gravy, and fruit pies. Top that off with our sweet potatoes, relish tray, ham, chocolate and banana pies. Good food and family, what more could you ask for?

We finished the day with outside football, inside football theater style, planning and strategizing with the ads, and making small albums for church. This truly was a day of thanks!
